46 Broyle Road Chichester

46 Broyle Road is a Victorian end of terrace house to the north of Chichester. The existing kitchen was very narrow and had a north facing view of the neighbour's flank wall. It was extended out to line up with the side wall of the house, and roofed with north facing glazing panels to let in more light.

The roof to the existing garden room was replaced, and now incorporates a new dormer window above new French doors. The end wall was rebuilt in facing brickwork, with new sliding sash windows.

The living room, kitchen and garden room become one space but on different levels. New openings ensured that they benefit from views of the garden. The purpose built kitchen cupboards were designed by the architects.

The project has been featured in the Saturday Guardian.
