Pine Trees Fontwell

Pine Trees was designed in the early 1900's by the Arts and Crafts architect, CFA Voysey, as a hunting lodge for his brother.

The present owners acquired the house in the 1990's and we subsequently carried out various extension and alteration works.

The original porch had been enclosed with Crittall windows, this work probably being done in the 1950's or 60's.

Our brief on this project was to take down the old porch and to build a new Garden Room that could be used as a small sitting room with views over the garden.

The extension has been detailed to match the existing house. The roof has plain clay tiles, the walls are finished with textured render, and the windows are the contemporary equivalent of the original steel windows. The window surrounds have been reproduced using render to replicate the original stone window surrounds.
