Kenway Road London

The owners of this London terraced house had two principle aims: to introduce more natural light into the central parts of the house and to simplify the layout to create a spacious and open feel.

The kitchen was extended and lightened incorporating an existing lean-to and adding a slanted glazed roof, while a full wall of glazed doors were added to the rear. The existing staircase, which divided the kitchen and living area's, was removed to provide one continuous living/dining/cooking space. A new staircase to the side of the house with an enlarged landing, enlarged window and opaque glazed doors to the bedrooms allowed light to filter down the staircase into the living areas.

Reconfigured bedrooms, new bathrooms and extensive additional cupboard space completed this fit for purpose home for a growing family.
