Lapwings West Wittering

Having explored the option of extending the existing house, the owners decided that it should be replaced.

        The brief was to design a house built using traditional components and materials,  that had interior spaces which have a classic contemporary style.

        The living areas are large and open, and are designed to make the most of the sunny coastal location. The owners wanted to include a covered barbecue area and a large first floor balcony which has views across to the Isle of Wight.

        The materials include Cape Cod weather boarding, a slate roof, and painted timber sliding sash windows and bifold doors.
